Today is my birthday, I’m 44 not 21 as I look ;), and I’ve been reflecting on my journey a lot recently..

If you had told me 20 years ago that I’d be here today, running my own coaching and consulting business, helping already incredible people break free from the cycles that hold them back, I wouldn’t have believed you.

Not because I didn’t want it, but because, back then, I didn’t have the confidence to see it as possible.

Think super shy, super low in confidence, no direction, no focus the list goes on and on!

From a Greengrocer's Daughter to Multi-Million Pound Success

I grew up in a working-class family. My parents ran a greengrocers in Cardiff central market, and I learned the value of hard work early on.

My parents often used to get me up at 5am to take me to the wholesalers and it was from the van, drinking a carton of ribena (sugar wasn’t really known about back then!) that I loved seeing how things worked. Well it was a lot of talking and drinking tea from what I could see 😉

At the age of 32 (it’s never too late!), I got an opportunity that I grabbed with both hands.

I became the co-founder of Tiger Stores (now Flying Tiger Copenhagen), and over five years, my partner and I grew it into a £6 million business - we opened nine stores across Wales and Bristol, and built a team of over 200 employees.

But, it wasn’t easy.

It was far from it.

I faced rejection after rejection before securing £150k in funding.

But I kept going.

Somewhere deep down (maybe it was the Italian/Welsh in me!) I kept finding the strength to keep going.

In 2019, I sold my shares and took a leap into something new.

(Shock horror - I am not a multi-millionaire by the way!)

Reinventing Myself (Again!)

After leaving Tiger, I wanted to do work that truly filled me up, work that made a difference, work that didn’t feel like work.

To have that Emotional and Financial return.

So, I spent thousands of pounds on training to become the best coach I could be. A coach that didn't just tick the paper boxes, but actually could be used in all different situations for people.

Of course, the doubts crept in, as they always used to!

“Who am I to do this?”

“What if no one listens?”

But this time, I recognised the pattern.

I had spent years pushing through fear and achieving incredible things despite it - why should this be any different?

Now, I work with people who feel just like I once did: stuck, overwhelmed, and a little lost in life, not just in business.

Who I Really Am

People often assume I’m super confident and outgoing. And yes, I can be. But the truth? I’m actually an ambivert.

I love my own space, I’m quite shy in certain settings, and I recharge best with a good coffee, cake (non-negotiable!) and my own space.

It has taken some time, but now, I run my business in a way that feels good.

I don’t chase; I create.

I don’t force; I allow.

And that shift has been everything.

I’ve learned that pushing and hustling isn’t the answer for me. You will not see me ‘selling’ myself to anyone.

As a Projector in Human Design, my energy isn’t meant for constant chasing - it’s meant for guiding.

The best things in my business haven’t come from forcing; they’ve come from alignment

When I stopped trying to “get more clients” and instead focused on sharing my insights and showing up as my real, raw self, the right people naturally started to find me.

Where I Am Now

Since selling my shares in Tiger, I’ve built a business that excites me. Today, I’m a:

  • Business and Mindset Coach & Consultant
  • Guest Speaker
  • Podcaster
  • Business Advisor for Business in Focus
  • Role Model & Mentor for Business Wales & Big Ideas Wales
  • Co-Founder of @SheThrives Collective

Or also known as a unicorn to many!

The clients who seek me out are dealing with confidence crashes, and the feeling of going around in circles but getting nowhere.

They wake up after a night of racing thoughts, grab their phone, hear the kids, the dog, the endless noise, and wonder, “How am I going to get through today?”

They’re exhausted, uninspired, and desperate for something to change, but they don’t know where to start.

The First Step: You Don’t Need Fixing

I see you. And I know that feeling.

The pressure to have it all together, the guilt for even wanting something different, the exhaustion of constantly questioning yourself.

But the truth is, you don’t need fixing.

You just need to take the first step, no matter how small.

When I work with my clients, we don’t start with big, overwhelming changes. We start with understanding what you can do.

We break it down, step by step, and suddenly, what once felt impossible starts to feel manageable.

And those small steps?

They build momentum.

Before you know it, you’re not just getting through the day, you’re finding you again.

The Biggest Lesson?

Avoid the “Should” and Follow Your Want

The best book I’ve ever read is Papillon - a story of survival and resilience. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this - resilience isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about taking the first step, even when it’s hard.

Even when you don’t feel ready.

Even when the doubts creep in.

So, if you’re feeling stuck, lost, or like you’re going around in circles, I want you to know, you’re not alone. And you can find your way out. You just have to start.

For a quick confidence boost, I’ve got just the thing. My 30-minute Confidence Boosting Hypnotherapy Recorded Session will leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed and ready to banish those often stress related limiting beliefs.

If you're struggling to move, shift perspectives or have the confidence to move forward, I see you.
